Last night Megan had baby cereal for the very first time! She was so good the whole time too! I would spoon in a bite and she would smile. Then I would give her a quick drink from her bottle to encourage her to swallow it. I was surprised that she even opened her mouth for the spoon...like a little natural! She was so excited during the feeding that she was pumping her feed back and forth.
Well as I fed her I was remembering Lukas's first feeding and the two feedings were way different. Lukas was not really that into me spooning food into his mouth. He was horribly impatient and wanted his food and the satisfaction of his food now! Megan was so calm, smiley, and patient during the feeding it was unbelievable! I remember his first feeding there was cereal was on his bib and he would bit the spoon (picture below). The above picture is what Megan looked like after her first feeding. Just a little around her mouth, barely any was on her bib. I can't believe how fast time goes. Here we are now feeding our baby girl the same stuff, from the same spoon, and same bowl. It was a little surreal. Last night was my last first feeding for my kids. I mean Megan will have alot more firsts here of course. As she gets the hang of this we will introduce fruits and veggies. (Wonder what she will like the most? Lukas was a veggie baby, he ate some fruits...but loved his veggies!) With how much I was a fruit fiend during my pregnancy I am curious to see if she will really like the fruit the way she made me crave it? It will be interesting.

I still can't get over how much older he looks than she does. He is actually a couple weeks younger than Megan is at this point.
Here is Megan during her feeding. Not so messy and just chilling taking a bite.
I think you can tell we switched to the newer cost CFL bulbs. The lighting is horrible for pictures, but they are supposed to help with energy efficiency and last longer. Plus my newer camera doesn't have the settings to adjust light like the one I lost that I took so many of Lukas's pictures with.
