Saturday...one of the best days of the week!

My kiddos and I joined my friend Jessie and her kiddos for some fun at a historic home in our hometown.  It was a little concert on the lawn for the kids and the loved it!  Here is a couple pictures and a video.

 

 

Finally Some Fun In The Water!

This last weekend it rained every stinking day, but we had some breaks in the rain to be able to enjoy the outside and play in some water!  Or as Megan says "I pay wader Mommy!"  Here are some pictures below...this one if from Friday...slip and slide in the front yard!

 

Then Lukas popped the above slip and slide so we needed to get a new one.  We found one Saturday and got it all set up for the kiddos to monkey around in.

 

 

It was very muggy and hot Saturday so this was the perfect day for them to sit and play in the nice cold water!

Reptile and Amphibian Zoo

For Father's Day we packed the kids up went out for lunch and then hit the Reptile and Amphibian Zoo a couple towns over.  The place was really cool!  We started with just getting to go around the building and see all the animals in their tanks.  Then they had a show and talked about some of their animals at the zoo.  Then they had feedings that you could watch.  I didn't really watch the feedings, but my husband was into that part!

 

Megan would lean up to all the tanks whether they be frogs, turtles, snakes, whatever and say "awe cute!"



 

The kids were really into what they were seeing, Lukas had lots of questions!

 

 

Cool place to go and really enjoyed it!

Dancing In The Rain

We attended a family gathering and fish fry to visit my husband's sister.  We went to a park and had lots of fun!  Even though it rained we all made the best of it and really enjoyed our time together!  The kids I think really liked the rain and were dancing, running, and splashing in puddles!  They were so messy!

T-Ball is Funny!

Last Thursday Lukas had his first real t-ball game.  He got all ready and kept asking Megan if she was excited to watch him play.  She would smile and shake her head.

Watching him bat was so cute!  He would swing hard and he did a great job at hitting the ball, but once he hit it he stood there.  We all started yelling "run Lukas, go to first!"  He looked so confused.  So he finally caught on that he was supposed to run after he hit the ball, but then he didn't really realize he was supposed to stop on first base.  He kept running and went through first, onto second, and then over to third.  He ran all the way to home base.  It was hilarious and cute to watch him! 

In the field he was ready for the other players to hit the ball, and once they hit it all of the players ran for the ball!  It was so funny!  After awhile he lost interest and started kicking the sand, playing in the sand, and jumping and doing circles in the air.  I do think the kids could probably play only 2 innings at first so they have the chance to catch on to batting and then being in the field.  Seems like they let them keep going and going and their attention span gets smaller and smaller!
