Last Thursday Lukas had his first real t-ball game. He got all ready and kept asking Megan if she was excited to watch him play. She would smile and shake her head.
Watching him bat was so cute! He would swing hard and he did a great job at hitting the ball, but once he hit it he stood there. We all started yelling "run Lukas, go to first!" He looked so confused. So he finally caught on that he was supposed to run after he hit the ball, but then he didn't really realize he was supposed to stop on first base. He kept running and went through first, onto second, and then over to third. He ran all the way to home base. It was hilarious and cute to watch him!
In the field he was ready for the other players to hit the ball, and once they hit it all of the players ran for the ball! It was so funny! After awhile he lost interest and started kicking the sand, playing in the sand, and jumping and doing circles in the air. I do think the kids could probably play only 2 innings at first so they have the chance to catch on to batting and then being in the field. Seems like they let them keep going and going and their attention span gets smaller and smaller!
