Babies Change Too Fast
When we first had Megan I was so excited and I couldn't wait for her to reach milestones. I just didn't know how fast it happens with your second one. Being busy with 2 children sure makes it feel like she is reaching a new milestone everyday and I barely get to embrace the "new" stuff before she is onto another new thing. I forgot how fast it all happens and how time gets away from you. In the last 2 months...she has:
-Cut 2 teeth
-Started eating finger foods/ drinking milk
-Only drinks a bottle at bed time
-Took her first steps, climbed small chairs and Lukas's bed, and walked across the room!
-Started drinking from a cup
-Making garbling noises to communicate and express what and how she feels
-She plays with her brother (with toys, puzzles, blankets, and follows him everywhere)
The biggest thing I think though is that she's not really "my baby" anymore. She has transformed into this little sweet girl who is acting like a toddler even though technically she isn't a toddler until July. I am excited for her future and how she will grow and change, but I will miss my sweet little baby girl. As a baby she loved to cuddle and snuggle (she still likes it at bedtime...but that is pretty much it.) She would hold onto your fingers like they were handles to her bottle, snuggle her head into your chest, loved to be sang to, pump her little hands and feet and squeal when she was excited. It all slipped away too fast. Babies don't stay babies for long.
