NC Fun

My husband and I have a code when it comes to going to our local nature outing venture.  We call it NC.  Lukas hasn't caught on yet to our code.  My husband will say, "how about we go to the NC tonight?"  The NC is our local Nature Center.  It's a beautiful place, and our family loves this place.  In fact Lukas cries when we start to leave this place.  We are definately a family who enjoys and loves the outdoors!  We took some pictures this time!

Lukas, Daddy, and the huge rock!

Cutie pie...Miss Meggers!

The lovely Tabor ladies.

This summer should prove to be more adventurous than last summer!  After all I am not a beached whale this summer or I won't have a newborn to worry about.  It's just me, my husband, and our monkeys!  We are truely blessed!

Megan Language

We are into summer now and I haven't had time to post!  My monkeys are growing like weeds and Megan especially seems to grow, learn, and change daily!  As most 11 month olds do.  That's their job...grown, learn, and explore.

Let's see...well she is a full on walker now, she pivots, squats, and can even climb!  Watch out!  Lukas is enjoying her quest to converse and always asking me "what is she saying Mom?"  Megan's little garbly goo stories come at us all the time.  When I agree she usually scrunches her nose and giggles at me.  I usually have no idea what I agreed to!

Examples...

Me:  Megan you're a silly girl aren't you.
Megan:  Ditdo, abufudo allo do.  (All the while she is shaking her head in agreement.)

Lukas:  Babbers, look at me!  (As he is doing something goofy.)
Megan:  Fado ito baaammm.  (While Lukas looks at me for translation.)

Me:  What is this?  (As she walks over to me with a book in her hand and plops on my lap.)
Megan:  Dit ba (Then she crosses her feet and sits patiently and wait for me to read.)

She's definately becoming her own little person!  Love ya baby girl!

11 months old and new Carseat

Megan is now 11 months old.  I moved her into the convertible carseat 1 month early.  She does meet the weight and height requirements and my back was killing me trying to cary her around in that darn infant carseat.  She loves her new carseat!  Her excitement while she rides in the car now is so much nicer than the freak out crying she would do in the infant seat.  Hopefully she becomes a better traveler than she has been.

(I asked Lukas to smile, but he just stuck out his tongue.)  4 year olds lol!

My Monkeys watching cartoons

I had to run into the kitchen to grab something and Megan had already started her bedtime bottle.  So I sat her next to Lukas and she watched "Chugginton" with Lukas and drank her bottle.

Lukas Funnies

Lukas is 4 years old and he is a funny kid.  My husband and I constantly laugh at things he says or things talks about.  Here are some examples:

    Flip Flops are "clip clops"
    Dental Floss is "closs"
    Pausing the DVR is "clausing"
    Thomas is "Pomas"
   Mosquitos are "Spateatos"

Some other thoughts by Lukas:

"Mom, your my sweetheart."  I told him that he is my sweetheart too, and he said "boys aren't sweethearts!"

"Last night we did '____'" (fill in the blank) Last night could mean last year, months ago, weeks ago, or days ago.  Pretty much just means something that has happened in the past.

"Cutie" or "Babers" he is referring to his baby sister.  He got both little nicknames from me.  I call her those names too.

"In two hours" means that we will be doing something later that day, tomorrow, or even months from now.  Just like the the 'last night' stuff it just means something we are doing sometime in the future.

"I want Dorthy fruit snacks" Dorthy fruit snacks mean that he wants the Finding Nemo fruit snacks.  He calls Dory Dorthy.

Last but not least...I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up.  He told me he wanted to be Superman.  I asked him if he couldn't be superman someday what would he like to be?  He said "cook stuff in the kitchen".  So a chef?    Sounds good to me.  Either he will be a superhero or a chef!

Megan's a walkin!

The last couple weeks Megan has done some walking, only short distances, and from one thing to another.  Well this last weekend she finally got her walking figured out and has started to walk all over our house!  If she falls she gets back up and does it all over again too!  I have tried to take pictures, but my phone camera gets her all fuzzy since she doesn't sit still while she is walking.  (Durrrr...that's what happens when you walk...I know!)

She walks the best when she is barefoot.  She rips off her socks and will usually move about alot easier.  While she does her walking she chews on her socks.  Yumm lol.

Now that she has figured out walking she's going to be into everything!  Not to mention her comes the owies.

She's growing up entirely way too fast!

Como Zoo

Memorial weekend we took Lukas up to a nice little zoo in our state that is also a free zoo (or donation based anyway).  His birthday was a couple weeks ago and we wanted to take him to the zoo for his birthday.  Then we stayed in a hotel and did some swimming ate pizza and just had fun with him!  He really enjoyed it!  He was a really good boy and he got to see lots of animals!

We visited monkeys that wanted him to share his M&M's.

Daddy showed him some ducks.

He looked at "mingos" with Uncle Joe.

He got to see a lion!

We all had a great time!  We'll definitely have to do it again!!!
