My daughter has turned in to ketchup monster...thanks to her brother. Lukas loves ketchup, ranch, BBQ, and whatever he can get to dip whatever he is eating into. Well every time I would give Lukas some Megan would clap her hands and point to her plate. So I started giving her some. Now she asks for it all the time. She doesn't call everything their proper thing...everything is "chetchup". It's not just during mealtime anymore either. The other night she asked for it for bedtime snack. This is how it all went down:
Megan: "Mamma, nack!"
Me: "You want your bedtime snack?"
Megan: "Mmm, hmmm." sweetly batting her eyes
Me: "What do you want for snack?"
Megan: "Chetchup!" she said with her little arms up in the arm with excitment!
Me: "You want ketchup?"
Megan: "Mmm,hmmm." again, sweetly batting her eyes at me.
Me: "You can't have ketchup for snack, do you want a cracker, applesauce, or goldfishes?"
Megan: "No, chechtup!" Starting to get impatient...
Me: "You can't have ketchup by itself little girl!"
Lukas: "Mom, can I have cheezes for bedtime snack?"
Megan: "Me teezess!" she demanded happily!
Me: "You want cheezes too?"
Megan: "Mmm,hmmm...chetchup." she said again as sweetly as she could...
Me: "Fine you can have ketchup with your cheezes...whatever."
Lukas: "I want ketchup with my cheezes too!"
Megan: "Yay, yeah!" shaking her little arms in the air and then clapping!
Me: "My children are weird!"
