Click...take a pic!

This is what I get what I say "hey guys look here" Lukas instinctively smiles cheesy and Megan just looks at me.  I snapped this picture when they were sitting together watching cartoons.  Well this is what I get when I say "cheese!"

Lukas smiles a little more relaxed and Megan says cheese and closes her eyes!  They are so funny!

Chetchup!

My daughter has turned in to ketchup monster...thanks to her brother.  Lukas loves ketchup, ranch, BBQ, and whatever he can get to dip whatever he is eating into.  Well every time I would give Lukas some Megan would clap her hands and point to her plate.  So I started giving her some.  Now she asks for it all the time.  She doesn't call everything their proper thing...everything is "chetchup".  It's not just during mealtime anymore either.  The other night she asked for it for bedtime snack.  This is how it all went down:

   Megan:  "Mamma, nack!"
Me:        "You want your bedtime snack?"
Megan:   "Mmm, hmmm."  sweetly batting her eyes
Me:        "What do you want for snack?"
Megan:  "Chetchup!" she said with her little arms up in the arm with excitment!
   Me:        "You want ketchup?"
Megan:  "Mmm,hmmm." again, sweetly batting her eyes at me.
Me:        "You can't have ketchup for snack, do you want a cracker, applesauce, or goldfishes?"
Megan:   "No, chechtup!"  Starting to get impatient...
Me:        "You can't have ketchup by itself little girl!"
Lukas:    "Mom, can I have cheezes for bedtime snack?"
Megan:   "Me teezess!" she demanded happily!
   Me:         "You want cheezes too?"
Megan:    "Mmm,hmmm...chetchup."  she said again as sweetly as she could...
Me:          "Fine you can have ketchup with your cheezes...whatever."
Lukas:     "I want ketchup with my cheezes too!"
Megan:    "Yay, yeah!" shaking her little arms in the air and then clapping!
   Me:          "My children are weird!"

My Happy Dude!

My Lukas has gotten into loving Super Mario Bros on the Wii.  He loves to play it and will beg over and over all day long about it.  Sometimes we just need to put our foot down and say no (because Mario can get old...especially the same worlds over and over.)  I am glad he found something he enjoys.  Well...really he enjoys everything, so it's not too surprising!  Daddy and Lukas enjoy playing it together.  While you are playing he will say "really?" (if he dies) "hey, you're gonna kill me!" (if you do something to cause a problem for him) "cool, cool, cool!" (when he is excited he got something he likes) "I died" (in a sad tone).  Listening to him play is probably more fun for me than actually playing!  He is too funny!

"Mom, you're gonna make me die!" lol!

Cheesiest Smile this side of the Mississippi

This picture makes me want to crack up laughing every time I look at it!  She is so funny.  When we take a picture on my iPhone we can have the camera point to us so we see ourselves and this is the product of Megan saying cheese while she sees herself.  It's so silly!  Those cute chubby cheeks, goofy grin, and her darn near eye shut smile!

I took more than one picture with her...this one is more serious.  Not sure what she is thinking.  Still...look at those red chubby cheeks!  They just SCREAM kiss me!

So...I did.  I gave her a kiss.  We were busy watching Bubble Guppies so she was trying to watch that while I was bugging her with pictures and kisses!

She is so darn cute cuddling with her blankie in her piggy pajamas!  Makes me want to cuddle and kiss her even more!

My Monkeys meet Lucy

My little monkeys met their cousin Lucy this last weekend!  They were pretty excited to go see her.  When we were getting ready to leave Megan would throw her little arms up in the air and say "yay! boots, yewcy, ottide, yay!"  To her going outside to see Lucy and go bye bye held alot of excitement!  Her brother on the other hand was excited to see her, but he didn't get really into it until we were there.  He got to hold her and sing to her.  He gave her a sweet gentle kiss on the head and I thought my heart was going to melt!  I was so proud of him.

Lukas is a great big brother and I can feel that he will be a protective, loving, and very attentive cousin!  Megan on the other hand is a little nut!  She was all over the place getting into everything while we were there.  No doubt my brother and his girlfriend have much baby proofing to do in about a year or so.  Megan showed them what they need to do lol!  I see Megan talking to Lucy in the future saying "come on Lucy let's go do this" and getting her into things.  Then she lays on that cheesy smile and you are like "what's going on?" and of course she is getting into something she shouldn't be into or climbing something she shouldn't be on.

A little late...Lukas's Christmas Program

2 weeks ago my little guy finally got to have his Christmas program.  His preschool teachers did a awesome job with the kids and the kids did really great too!  My husband did tape the program, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

The original date of the program was schedule on a day we had a blizzard here in Minnesota.  It was just before Christmas and boy did we get a white Christmas!  Lukas had been begging and praying for snow.  He wanted it sooo bad!  He got his wish, but then his program got rescheduled.  Oh well...when you live in this state you get used to the weather messing up plans from time to time.

Lukas is above and below with some of his buddies at preschool.  From left to right we have Owen, Lukas J (another Lukas lol), our Lukas, and then Nolan.  They all did a great job singing and being their best 4 year old performer selves!
